Q→ What's included in the website optimisation process?A→ Once the key phrases and any website modifications identified in the search engine optimisation report have been agreed, we produce a plan for your website. This will include:
Constant assessment of optimized webpages (to improve rankings through modifications) as and when needed. Monthly reports to verify your search engine placement and increased level of visitors to your website.Q→ What is a Search Engine?A→ A search engine is an online database of websites that allows Internet users to search for information contained on websites by typing in "Keywords" which identify the contents of the websites. Keywords are words that Internet searches are likely to use when looking for information on a specific topic. For example, the words "flights to Spain" are likely to be used when looking for information on websites offering flights to Spain. Q→ What is a Directory?A→ A directory is a search tool much like a search engine but with a few major differences. Directories tend to employ human editors to review and rank websites submitted to their database. Yahoo! is the best known example of a directory. Most directories catalogue websites based on a variety of topic categories such as Business and Finance, or Arts and Culture. Most directories demand payment before assigning a website review to one of their editors. Q→ How does the Search Engine find websites?A→ There are two ways a search engine can find a website to add to its database. The first and most direct method is to accept submissions from website designers and optimizers. Most search engines have a "submit your URL" section inviting submissions from Internet users. The second and least obvious method of finding websites is to send a "spider" to follow each and every link on, off, and through a website. New URLs encountered by the spider will be added to the database. In this way, some search engines will grow very rapidly. Q→ What is a "Spider"?A→ A "spider" is an electronic robot that travels the web examining websites in order to add them to a search engine database and rank them according to the specific ranking criteria for that search engine. Most search engines use spiders to quickly and efficiently canvass the web for information. Q→ What is Website Optimisation?A→ Website optimization involves making the website search engine friendly and optimizing each page for specific keyword phrases. Website content is one of the important factors search engines use to determine where your site should rank. Search engines need to be able to easily spider each page of your website and find content that helps them determine the relevance of each specific page and the website as a whole. Q→ Why Is Search Engine Ranking So Important?A→ Search engine positioning on the first page will generate more visitors to your website than any other form of marketing. Search engine marketing gives you a better return than television, radio, direct mail, print ads or trade shows. The top search engines receive hundreds of millions of searches per day. If your web site is not appearing within the first two pages of these results you are missing thousands of highly qualified leads. Over 55% of all Internet purchases begin with a search engine, so it only makes sense to target people who are already looking for you in the first place! The quality of these leads is incredibly high as these are people who are specifically interested in your products or services ...right now. Having a top ranking in a major search engine is like having a full page advert in the Yellow Pages in every major city of the world. Websites see an incredible growth in their sales as a result of being moved to the top of the search engines. Q→ Will my website remain highly ranked?A→ Search Engine rankings fluctuate frequently. However, if your site is properly maintained by website optimisation specialists you should maintain your very high position. Our monthly maintenance service is designed to maintain your high ranking in the search engines. Q→ Can’t I simply submit my website to the search engines?A→ You certainly can. But unless you have first optimized your website and established suitable links it is unlikely that your website will get listed. And even if it is listed for some search phrases they will most likely be so low that they will never be found. You should be aware that if you make a mistake in optimization and submission, it can take you months to discover the mistake. In the meantime you will have lost all those potential visitors to your website. Our experience with many years of submitting to search engines helps avoid these mistakes. Q→ What about the software tools that can automatically submit my website?A→ The fact is that these tools simply do not work. For all the major search and directories you have to submit manually. Worse still, using these tools can get you blacklisted and ruin your chances completely. Submitting manually also allows us to tailor each submission to the particular requirements demanded by the search engine optimisation process. Q→ What information do you need?A→ Before we can begin work on your website, we need to know:
Q→ How Do You Make My Site Search Engine Friendly?A→ We make sure that your website design is completely search engine friendly and we investigate your coding to ensure that there is nothing that will prevent the search engines from thoroughly spidering every webpage. Some of the coding issues that can block search engine spiders are extensive flash, javascript, frames, and session id's. Our team will clean up any negative issues leaving your website search engine friendly. Q→ What Is Code Optimization?A→ As a first step in the WOIM optimization process, we carefully examine your existing html code in-depth, to make sure there are no roadblocks to ranking, such as frames, flash intros, excessive javascript, hidden layers, re-directs, spam or bad html code. There are many tags within the coding of your web site that are prime for search engine optimization. These tags are title tags, meta keyword tags, meta description tags, anchor tags, and the alt attribute of the image tag. We optimize these tags utilizing our chosen keyword phrases. Code Optimization-Using our chosen keyword phrases, we completely optimize the coding of your site including: title tags, meta keyword tags, meta description tags, anchor tags, and the alt attribute of the image tags. We do not spam these tags, we optimize in a way that is natural, appropriate and effective.Internal Link Structuring-We construct your websites internal linking structure (links pointing to webpages within your site) so that the search engines can easily spider and index all of your webpages. By utilizing our chosen keyword phrases in these internal links, we help the search engines discover which webpages are relevant for which keyword phrases. Site navigation is very important for search engine ‘spidering’ (and your visitors). We provide your website with an optimized, easy to navigate internal link structure that the search engines easily follow. The link structuring process includes designing a static (but editable) seo friendly menu, a sitemap, and possibly making use of link trails throughout your site. We use appropriate keyword phrases within each link to help with ranking.Q→ Why is a Site Map Important?A→ Lack of a sitemap could limit access to all pages in your site for search spiders. The idea is to create a one-stop page where the search engine spiders can effectively visit every page within website. A sitemap is an essential part of your site. A website with ideal site architecture would be a couple of levels deep. Any more levels than this will increase the time taken for the search engines to completely spider your web. You need to develop a shortcut for the search engines to get to these deeper level pages. We can add a link to a sitemap at the bottom of every page in your web site. For every major section, we can add a basic description for the products/services offered so that it adds more data for the search engines to index when they visit this sitemap. Q→ How soon will I see the results of this website optimisation?A→ First results start appear within 30 days. Each of the search engines and directories has their own time-scale for updating their databases. However, Paid Inclusions / Submissions allow much quicker listing. If you wish to improve your ranking immediately we recommend you invest in paid-inclusion and submission services during search engine optimisation. These paid inclusion services mean your site to be listed much earlier. Q→ What is Link Popularity?A→ In general, “link popularity” refers to the number of in-pointing links to a website. The search engines have decided that if other sites are linking to your website, it must have valuable content and therefore deserves a boost in rankings. All major search engines place some emphasis on link popularity in their ranking algorithms. From a search engine perspective, your link popularity is based on the websites linking to your pages. The factors determining link popularity are the quality of the websites linked to yours, the relevance of those websites to your own and the quality of the link's text. In most cases, quality of links is far more valuable than the quantity. Q→ Why is link popularity so important?A→ Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN, use mathematical algorithms to determine how to rank sites in their natural results. One of the factors (a very important one) in their algorithm is the link popularity of each site. In effect, when another website links to your website it is considered a "popularity vote" for your site. The more votes your site has, the more popular your site is considered to be. Search engines like to rank very popular sites ahead of less popular ones. Q→ Why Should I Care About Link Popularity?A→ Google places more emphasis than most other engines on incoming links. How much these actually boost a website's ranking is debatable. It depends on the words that are placed in the anchor text. A few highly relevant links with strong anchor text can go a long way towards link popularity for many sites. For sites who want to take it to the next level and are trying to rank highly with extremely competitive keywords, it may be necessary to actively seek out links from other relevant websites. This means you should look for websites that are related to your site in some way, and see if they might be interested in promoting your site to their users. Remember also, that very often links from relevant websites may well bring more traffic to your site than a high search engine ranking will bring. Q→ How Will Links Help My Online Business?A→ How Will Links Help My Online Business?
A properly developed link program will deliver far more traffic due to its impact upon the engines than the actual links themselves.Q→ Which Links Work Well with the Search Engines?A→ There are two main types of links that work best to increase your link popularity. Links from other websites that focus on the same keyword phrases your site focuses on, and links from relevant categories in major directories and industry-specific portals. Third-level linking is also used to determine your website's popularity - in other words, it looks at what websites link to the websites that link to you. These are the main factors which determine the value of your links to the search engines:
Relevancy of the website the link is onGoogle loves links on relevant sites. It is possible to outrank someone who has many more links than you by obtaining just a few very powerful relevant ones. It is not necessary that all of your back-links come from relevant sites, but the general rule is "the more the better".
Link Popularity and ‘Page rank’ of the WebsiteObtaining links from websites that have a high Page Rank is very important. When a highly ranked website links to yours, it tells the search engines that you worthy of ranking well for your keywords.Number of Outbound Links on the PageThe total number of outbound links on a page linking to you is an important factor to consider. A website or page which has too many outbound links is not going to pass much link popularity. They are also at risk of being penalized in the search engines if the outbound links are thought to be "paid links" or are all pointing to "non-relevant" websites.
Age of the Website the Link is onOlder websites are trusted more in the search engines and have more power for ranking other websites. Google places a lot of weight on links from older websites. If a site is more than 2 years old, its value goes way up. If it is greater then 5 years it is even more powerful.Position of Link on the PageWhere the link is located on a page is also very important. The search engines have developed block level analysis techniques that basically allow them to break down a webpage into blocks. Certain blocks, or sections of the site carry more weight since they are more likely to be seen by visitors. Links that are hidden at the very bottom of a site carry less value then links embedded in text at the top of the site. There is also the additional value of traffic. Links placed at the top of a website will get more clicks, sending you more traffic and sales.Q→ Which Links should be Avoided?A→ There are many links page generation scams and link pyramid schemes where other website owners agree to add your link and you agree to publish the same links page as them. "Free-for-all" (FFA) sites do not constitute quality links, so don't waste your time linking to them. Links from websites which focus on topics which have nothing to do with your own site will not help you win any link popularity contests, either. Search engines can spot this scam and often penalise or blacklist any participating sites. Q→ What link building plan do you follow?A→ We plan to build the link popularity of your website with care by only obtaining links from quality, relevant sites. This process includes one-way links and some reciprocal links. One-way links are links from other sites which point to your website. You do not provide a link back to that website. One-way links from relevant websites are the most valuable for boosting link popularity. Obtaining these links often means making personal contact with selected websites to persuade them to make the link. It also involves paying for directory submissions and may require payment to a high rank website to provide a value link. Such payments should be regarded as an integral part of your internet advertising budget. Reciprocal links are links from other sites pointing to your website, in return, you provide them with a link back to their website. Reciprocal links can be 2-way or 3-way links. 2-way linking means they link to you, you link to them. 3-way linking means they link to you, you link to them from a different but relevant website. Q→ What Is Page Rank?A→ Google rates each web page based on a scoring system called "Page Rank". This score ranges from zero to ten - zero indicates an unlisted or banned web page and ten indicates an extremely high profile site. Most websites have a Page Rank in the range of zero to four. Q→ How do I see my Page Rank?A→ Google provides a free toolbar for your browser which will show you the Page Rank of every page you visit. It is easy to install and has several other useful features such as quick Google searches and pop-up window control. Once installed, press the Google button in your browser, select "Options", tick "Page Rank Display" and press OK. Then you can browse through your site and see each page's Page Rank. Page Rank is Google's way of giving a specific value to show the popularity of a website. It is based on the number of "votes" other websites cast for your website. A "vote" is simply when another website places a link on their website pointing to your website. Generally, the more "votes" or links you have pointing to your website, the higher your Page Rank (PR) will be. Page Rank is one of the many factors which Google takes into account when ranking websites. Q→ How do I increase my Page Rank?A→ Your Page Rank is based on the number and quality of inbound links to your site on the internet. For example, a link from a page with a Page Rank of five will contribute to your own Page Rank, whereas a link from a Page Rank of one will have little or no effect on your profile. Google employs this system because it makes it difficult to use "tricks" to boost your ranking. This helps Google to give good results to searchers. Generating a solid link base is a challenging task requiring commitment, patience and time. Usually you have to contact webmasters individually and offer a link back to them from your site. Important, high-quality sites receive a higher Page Rank, which Google remembers each time it conducts a search. Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don't match your query. So, Google combines Page Rank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages which are both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term appears on a page and examines all aspects of the page's content (and the content of the pages linking to it) to determine if it's a good match for your query. Q→ What if I have a Page Rank of zero?A→ Web pages with a Page Rank of zero are quite common. This either means that you are not yet listed on Google or that your site has been penalised or banned from Google's listings. In order to see your own Google Page Rank, as well as others, you must have the Google Toolbar installed on your computer. You can get that for free here: Q→ Does Page Rank Equal Link Popularity?A→ NO! It's important to note that Google Page Rank is not the same thing as link popularity. PR is actually a subset of link popularity. Whereas PR focuses strictly on the quantity and popularity of links, link popularity adds a "quality factor" into the equation. Unfortunately, many people mistakenly use the terms "link popularity" and "Page Rank " interchangeably, which is incorrect and only causes further confusion. Q→ Why Do Search Engines give more weight to inbound links?A→ They give credibility to the “linked” site. An in-pointing link from a quality, related site tells the Search Engines that another Webmaster thinks highly enough of your site to link to it. In other words, the link counts as a vote of confidence. The more highly the Search Engines regard the site providing the link, the more powerful that vote. The only links that matter to you are links from quality sites with themes related to your business. For example, having a link from the authority on the same subject as your site is a good thing. However, having a link from an online gambling site with no relevance to your site is of no value. Obtain quality links from quality sites with themes related to your business. Q→ Must I have Hundreds of Links in order to be indexed?A→ NO! Most sites simply do not have lots of incoming links. If the search engines weighted links too heavily, very few web sites would be listed. Since most sites have only a limited number of incoming links, here is an opportunity for you to grab an edge. If you are close to the Top 10 for your keywords, improving your link popularity should generate the extra points you need to place you onto the first page of search results. Q→ What is the biggest mistake when building links?A→ People think all links are the same. They prefer quantity over quality. That's a big mistake. The search engines are trying to determine the most relevant results for their search queries, and to do this, they analyze the linking structure of the community. They "know" what specific pages are about and they assume that pages which link together are somehow related. They are essentially sharing their reputation with each other. The more pages that point to a specific page, the more importance or influence that page has in their calculations. Q→ Why Is The Content of My Text Links Important?A→ Search engines give a lot of weight to the text contained in the links which are pointing to your website. What links "say" about your site is known as your "Link Reputation". This is a major factor search engines use to determine website ranking, so links containing your key phrases have a profound effect on search results. Use Your Primary Keywords in the Anchor Text of Your LinksThe anchor text, also known as link text, is the text used in the link pointing to your site. This text should be one of your primary keywords for the page that you are linking too. For example, if you are linking to your homepage which is optimized for the keyword "Mortgages", you will want to use that keyword in the links pointing to that page. The search engines look at the link text of your incoming links to help determine what your site is about. Optimizing the anchor text of your links can have a huge effect on your rankings. It's important to show the webmaster linking to you EXACTLY how to construct your link. The keywords in the hyperlink portion are extremely important, so when you send another webmaster your link, make sure you construct it wisely! Always give them the HTML link code just like this:
Always remember to ask your link partners to include your most important keywords in the actual link text of your in-pointing link. This will give your site added relevancy for those keywords. For example, if you are a Psychic, you would ask Webmasters to link to Your Psychic.com Web site like this...Your relationships & personal problems solved! And not like this...Psychic.com.See the difference? The first link provides his site with additional relevancy for the keywords “relationships,” and “personal problems.” The second link provides no relevant statements. Remember, if you have your keywords in the hyperlink, the search engines will rank you higher for those words! Q→ Should I Agree To Reciprocal Links?A→ The problem with reciprocal linking is that most Webmasters use them as an artificial attempt to elevate link popularity. They are not focused on providing additional value for their visitors. Instead they hope to trick Google and the other Search Engines into believing their sites are authorities in their fields. How often have you seen 50 or 100 links buried deep in a Web site somewhere? And I bet you’ve never checked out any of those links either. Chances are they were on a hodgepodge of topics, and of questionable quality. More and more, Search Engines see these pages for what they are, and discount them immediately. There’s nothing wrong with providing your visitors with a list of 5-10 of the best authorities on related topics. And there’s certainly nothing wrong with referencing a related Web authority within the course of a discussion on any Web page, with or without reciprocity. But if you exchange links with a 100 mediocre quality sites, and host those links deep in the uncharted chasms of your site, you’re virtually telling the SE’s... “These are not real links -- they have been created to mislead you. The SE’s will almost certainly penalise you. Q→ How do you Obtain Quality Links?A→Sending an email that says "I've added your link, will you add mine" certainly draw a blank. If someone sent you an e-mail out of the blue, would you take them seriously? You must give the other business a reason to link to you. It's a business proposition, not a link exchange. Both sides must benefit from the partnership. If you don't know what your site has to offer another site or why your link is valuable, you are wasting your time! The best way to obtain those links is by offering quality content on your site. When a site links to you, they are staking their reputation on you. The search engines will penalize them if they link to a poor quality site, a link farm. Q→ What is the BEST Way To Build Incoming Links?A→The best, simplest and quickest way to build your site’s link popularity is to get Incoming links. How? By listing in:
These three are the most effective, if not the cheapest, way to build an inbound link programme which will quickly improve your link popularity. Getting listed still takes time and effort and you will have to pay to get listed on the top directories. Getting a directory listing depends upon the reviewing editor. Yes, your site will be reviewed by a real human who knows something about your subject matter. They have to decide whether your site contributes something of merit to the directory. If your site is unfinished, or if content is sparse or low-value, it’s unlikely that you will get the thumbs up from the reviewing editor. Q→ What about buying links?A→If you can buy a quality link which relates to your site, buy it! It's a business proposition like everything else. This is certainly one way to do it if you can afford it.Q→ Is link popularity helped by setting up multiple domains to link to their main site?A→Absolutely not. Those mini-networks are like spam islands. They are easily detected by the search engines and your site will be penalized, if not banned altogether.Q→ Do Affiliate Links Help?A→If you have a product or service, you may want to set up an affiliate programme using one of the major affiliate program providers such as ‘BeFree’, ‘Comission’ Junction, ‘Linkshare’ or ‘MyAffiliateProgram’. You can also use an affiliate programme to get inbound links. While these links rarely count towards link popularity they still spread your name around, which helps build user trust.Q→ How Can I Help To Improve My Sites Link Popularity?A→There are several ways in which you can help to improve your links.Ask your visitors to link to youMake linking to you as easy as possible. Create a page on your web site which includes the HTML code, with your keywords in the text link. Then create a button to this page that says "Link to Us". Ask your Friends, Business Partners, Clients, and VendorsOne of the most overlooked ways to build link popularity is to establish links from all your business associates and suppliers. As you already have a good relationship with them, they are more likely to link to your site. Or agree to reciprocal links. But only use them if they are relevant.Provide a valuable serviceGive your visitors a good reason to link to your web site. If you provide valuable information or a free service, you can be sure your visitors will link to you. Then their visitors will link to you, and so on. If you can create enough interest in your site content, it will spread like wildfire and you will rapidly improve your link popularity, and search engine placement.Q→ Will Link Exchange Programmes increase my link popularity and website ranking?A→No. The more likely outcome is that the link exchange programmes will LOWER your website ranking! Beware of any programme which promises to help you manage your link building campaign with little effort on your part. Soon after Google developed it's PageRank™ system to use link popularity as a factor in website ranking, many unscrupulous web marketing companies attempted to beat the system with automated linking to "Partners" or "Members". Google uses the phrase "Bad Neighborhood" to describe these huge networks of unrelated websites around the world, and will quickly penalize your site for being associated with them!Guilt By Association - Link Exchange programmes always promise to improve your site traffic, link popularity & search engine rankings. But the reality is they can hurt your rankings merely because links from them make your site seem like part of a "Bad Neighborhood". Q→ What about buying links?A→NO. Our Internet Marketing Package does not include search engine or directory submission fees. These fees are paid directly to each submission service.Q→ How long does it take ‘New Links’ to Improve My Site Rankings?A→It can take several weeks for the search engines to index (see) the pages where your links are placed. It can then take several months before they recalculate your link popularity in order to affect your rankings. It is possible to see some minor changes within a couple weeks but for the most part, you should not expect any major shifts in rankings for at least 90 days.Submission to DirectoriesQ→ Which Directories Are Important?A→The Major DirectoriesYahoo! Directoryhttp://directory.yahoo.com A link from Yahoo! is still considered to be one of the best you can get. And that is probably because a listing in Yahoo is expensive. That fee alone identifies you as a pretty serious small business. Unfortunately, the fee alone does not guarantee your inclusion. It still has to pass the editor’s requirements. If your business can afford it, a Yahoo listing is one of the fastest ways to build link popularity -- it is reviewed within 7 days. But remember...Your site must have good content. If your site is simply a small brochure website, or consists only of affiliate links, you are unlikely to be listed. Don’t waste your money. Paying the fee is not a guarantee of listing. The Open Directory Project
The Open Directory allows Webmasters to submit their sites for free. There is however, one big problem. This directory is maintained by a team of volunteer editors. They are horribly back-logged with submissions. It can take anywhere from 3-6 months to get your site listed. Open Directory listings are carried and displayed by many SE partners. Google private labels it as the “Google Directory.” This leads to additional exposure for your site. But, just like Yahoo the major benefits of a listing are those all-important “link points.” The Second Tier DirectoriesSecond tier directories are not on a par with the majors, they receive relatively few searches. Don’t let that deter you, though. Remember, you are not seeking traffic from those directories, what you want is the link. What are their Advantages?
Smaller Directories worth considering...
Remember...the real value of a listing in one of these Directories is the link pointing to your site. While a listing may deliver some visitors, don’t list if you are expecting masses of traffic. More Often than not, you’ll be disappointed. Themed Directories & Niche HubsList with directories which are specific to your areas of interest. These are themed directories and “niche hubs” offering listings for little or no money. This is powerful because the incoming links are highly specific to your topic, and come from a recognized resource highly regarded by the search engines! Submissions ListSelection of the search engines & directories to which we make submissions.
Auto RespondersQ→ Do Affiliate Links Help?A→No. There is no limit to the length of a message. However, it is unwise to send a message with every bit of information about your product or service. When people receive your email, if it is long and boring, they will hit the delete button. Far better is to break the information into easily digested chunks and send them as a series of follow up messages. Keep them brief, upbeat and just highlight one of the benefits in each message.Q→ Will I be able to personalize my messages?A→Yes. Our auto-responder system allows you to include names and other personalized information both in the subject and the body of your outgoing messages. This is a great way to get your reader's attention and increase your sales.Q→ How many follow-up messages are allowed?A→There is no limit to the number of follow-up messages you can send. However, experience suggests that you will maximise your sales by sending 5 to 10 follow-ups to prospects.Q→ Will I be able to use HTML in my messages?A→Our system allows you to use either text or html in the your auto-responders.Q→ How do people request information from an auto-responder?A→They can request the information either by:Using a form on your website which visitors complete to request further information; or by sending an email. For instance, if your name your auto-responder "my info", then the email address for your auto-responder would be "myinfo@’your domain’.com". You would use that address in your ads and an interested party could just send a blank email to that address to receive the information. Q→ Can people remove themselves from the list?A→The system automatically inserts a removal link at the end of each message you send out. Anyone on your list can remove themselves at anytime. In addition, you are able to manually remove anyone on your list through the Client Menu.Q→ What Facilities Does the Auto-responder have?A→
Q→ What Is a typical Auto-responder Follow-Up Sequence?A→
... It goes on, for as many e-mails as you care to set up!Q→ Can I Use My Auto-responder For E-Mail Campaigns?A→Yes; here are 8 ideas for "targeted" e-mail campaigns you can send:
Give certain customers "first chance to buy" limited inventory or stock.KeywordsQ→ How Do You Select The Key Phrases.A→Choosing the correct Key phrase determines all of the other optimizations within your website. As a result, we must sure that the phrases you have chosen will meet your goals. The importance of keyword phrase selection is often overlooked yet it is a critical component for any type of search positioning. This may not be as simple as you think. Keyword phrases must work from not only for your target audience but also for the search engine spiders. So in selecting suitable key phrases one should consider these questions.
Is there a consistent theme throughout your website or does your website address several topics?Q→ Why Is Keyword Research Important?A→Keyword research is the foundation for an effective WOIM campaign. Keyword phrases are what people use to search and find websites in the search engines; therefore it is imperative that we have identified the right keywords before beginning the optimization process. Using multiple tools, we extensively research to identify exactly which keywords are being used to find the products / services you offer. Through this process, we compile a working list of powerful keyword combinations that will produce the most targeted traffic to your site.[You will not succeed unless you use the right keywords]If you target the wrong key words you may receive thousands of hits, but no sales. Worse still you may get no traffic at all, because no one is searching with those keywords. Either will be disastrous for your business. Measuring the CompetitionOnce we have a working list of phrases, we identify the competitiveness of each phrase so that we (and you) understand what will be required for it to compete effectively. Highly competitive keyword phrases require more work than less competitive phrases. The more competitive phrases require you to achieve a higher ranking if you wish to appear on the top 10 listing. Based on that knowledge and your goals, we agree on a definite list of keyword phrases for our WOIM campaign. Why Key prases not key words? The highest conversion rate (from search engines) comes from people who do a query with four words. If you use single keywords you will be lost in the crowd. We recommend optimising sites for key-phrases rather than keywords. Nearly 60% of people use three or more words when making a search. Hence the importance using phrases not single words. We want your site to gain quality, qualified traffic, so by targeted phrases deliver the best visitors to your site. Competition for keywords is fierce, so avoid the most popular keyword phrases; otherwise you will be competing with millions of other pages for the search engine’s attention. Ideally you need keyword phrases that many people will use, but unique enough not to return millions of matches.
